ProBono Femmes Book Club for Empowerment and Growth.

Many people grapple with their social lives. If your childhood involved parents so strict they checked the TV's temperature to see if you dared to watch it in their absence, and reporting a misbehaving schoolmate meant implicating yourself as the 'bad kid'—you might wonder, 'Why did they beat you?' But even those with the fondest childhood memories find the need to enhance their social interactions daily. There are myriad ways to achieve this. Form a group of like-minded individuals engaging in activities you enjoy, at your convenience, any day. It could be a skill or a hobby. Towards the end of 2022, I stumbled upon ProBono Femmes Book Club—a delightful book club in Kampala filled with young, reading enthusiasts. Noteworthy is their tech-savvy approach, embracing an online reading club. In a world where traditional reading could fade amidst evolving times and disruptive content consumption methods, more people lean towards visualized stories over traditional textual immersion. Hats off to ProBono Femmes Book Club for keeping the reading spirit alive! Here's the experience: a remote focus group delving into a selected book, individually read at one's pace. Every Sunday, the group assembles on Zoom to discuss the readings. Diverse thoughts and opinions flow, addressing today's socio-economic challenges through insightful questions. Ultimately, the group resonates on most matters, and that's the beauty of it all.
Things got even better when ProBono had their maiden meet up which also closed the year with the final discussions on the book "A Room of One's Own" by Virginia wolf. We will talk about Virginia Wolf's "A Room of Ones Own" later. Let's continue with the meet up. First, introductions.
"Hi Iam Tracee"
"Hi, I am Chris"
"Hi, I am Daphney".
